SEASON 7 EPISODE 1: CHOICE

Bienvenue! Welcome! Can you believe it’s season 7 already?? We’re going all in on some pure, lightheaheading YA fun this time as we read Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. Our foundational theme is, very appropriately, youth. We kick things off reading chapters 1-5 through the theme of choice this week.

In this section, Anna Oliphant’s tragi-romance writer dad has shipped her off to Paris for her senior year, but she’s less than thrilled to be stuck in a place where she can’t speak the language and knows nobody. She already misses her brother, her bestie Bridget, and her job at the multiplex. On the upside, her next-door neighbour Meredith seems pretty great, and there is also a beautiful boy named Etienne St Clair…

This episode was recorded on 23 July 2022.
