STRICTLY BALLROOM: LEGACY & CONFORMITY

We’ve got our happy faces on, Les! That’s right, we’re watching an absolutely Australian classic, Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom!

The premise is simple - Scott Hastings, the frustrated son of ballroom dancers, is tired of dancing the same steps. He risks it all to learn a new routine with a new partner with the goal of winning the Pan-Pacific Grand Prix Dancing Championship.

Our themes were legacy and confirmity so, as you can imagine, there’s a lot to unpack! We’re also absolutely thrilled to be joined by Andrea Mann this week, screenwriter, hilarious human and friend of Jen V’s.

This episode was recorded on 30 April 2022.
