SEASON 5 EPISODE 2: VICES

“It has been my experience that folks who have no vices have very few virtues.” - Abraham Lincoln, apparently. We explore the vices at play in Hernietta and what it can teach us about our own lives. Fair to say, it’s a lot to work through!

In this section,Barrington Whelk, the Latin teacher at Aglionby, discovers a newfound interest in Gansey—specifically, Gansey’s research on ley lines in Henrietta. Gansey schedules a tarot reading. Blue is annoyed by a group of obnoxious Raven boys in her section… one of whom, Adam, asks for her number. Annoying Raven boy “President Cell Phone” left his journal behind, and Blue volunteers to return it.

This episode was recorded on 9 October 2021.

Just try and stay honest, cause once you start lying, it’s very hard to stop. You know, when you’re young, you think that everybody out there really gets you. But actually only a handful of them do. All the people who like you, despite your faults. And then if you discard them, they will never come back. So when you meet those people... you should just hold on to them. Really, really tightly. And don’t let them go.
